PRODUCTS MAINTENANCE
Fabric items
Avoid direct contact with +40°C heat sources.
- Correct washing: under running water not over 30°C without squeezing or twisting them.
- Drying/Storage: let them dry out just by hanging them; keep apart from direct heating and light sources.
Other 2 basic points for winter gloves maintenance:
- Always fasten the glove using all the fastening devices.
- Take off the gloves by picking them by the fingertips: this will help inner lining to stay firmly in place. Correct washing method: while wearing the gloves, under running water not over 30°C without squeezing or twisting them.
Jackets and trousers: remove all inner protectors before washing.
Leather items
Leather garments should be kept clean and hydrated only by using specific products. Leather maintenance is divided into 2 different phases:
- Gently apply the product using a sponge and rubbing it circle-like. Then dry the surface using a soft and clean cloth.
- Hydrating: after the leather has dried out, gently and uniformly apply the specific hydrating product. Then dry the surface using a soft and clean cloth.
Protectors
- Cleaning: remove the protectors each time the garment is washed. To wash the garment, follow the washing instructions inside the garment. To clean the protectors use a damp cloth, cleanse delicately and dry away from heat or direct light. Ensure that the protectors are correctly repositioned. The type and position of the protectors is shown on the label of every protector.
- Drying/Storage: hang the garment in a dry place, away from sunlight and direct heat after having checked that it is thoroughly dry. Do not place heavy items on top of the garment, since this will damage the protectors or alter their shape.
- Preservation/Duration: the protectors and their attachment system should be checked regularly (at least annually) to ensure that there are no signs of wear and tear. Should this be the case, the garment or the protectors should be returned to manufacturer via the retailer for a professional check or repair. Should the protectors become worn or damaged they must be replaced immediately. In any case, the protectors must be replaced every 5 years.
