In the heat of the battle, fighting for a win, a mistake can occur, and that’s precisely what happened to Spidi’s own Iannone (Moto2) and Terol (125cc). The two young guns were eliminated by their will to prevail as Iannone suffered a penalty for overtaking with yellow flag and not taking the subsequent drive through, all while he was dominating the race easily. In 125cc, Nico Terol badly highsided in the midst of a duel for 2nd against arch rival Espargaro and Smith.
In MotoGP, Marco Melandri showed some good signs as he was back into the top 10 while still healing the damaged shoulder, on the other hand Colin Edwards looked rather drab in his 11th final place.
At the end of the weekend then, the best placement was surprisingly scored by Sandro Cortese in 125cc, who finished fourth on his Derbi.
