1977: Renato Dalla Grana founds Spidi as racing gloves manufacturer company.


1979: First world success in 500 world class with Kenny Roberts


1980: Spidi begins its national advertising campaigns in Italy


1982: Spidi is the leading company in Italian the biker gloves market


1984: Spidi begins its first successful international exports


1989: Spidi begins its production of motorcycle apparel


1991: New headquarters in Sarego (Vicenza).


1994: The company produces its first leather suit; Perfetto jacket is launched, destined to become a classic for the following ten years


1995: In collaboration with Toray Industries SPIDI develops H2OUT Membrane, the first membrane specifically projected for motorcycle use.

1995: SPIDI shop-in-shop strategy begins, with first corners in Milan and Rome.


1996: first CE certified protectors are installed into jackets


1997: Ergofit System is patented, fostering SPIDI attention to ergonomic features

1997: John Kocinski, one of the first Spidi riders, wins the World SBK Championship.


1998: Carbo1, first SPIDI carbon glove si introduced. Ergo 365 is unveiled, setting a new standard in touring/adventure jackets market STEP-IN-CLOTHING becomes a signature feature in winter jackets


1999: Spidi is proud to present the DPS02, the only airbag jacket in motorcycle market


2000: Colin Edwards becomes World Superbike Champion. The same year, XPD new brand for racing and touring boots, is born from a SPIDI SAFETY LAB side project


2001: There are more than 100 Spidi corners in Italian shops. Worldwide, there are more than 30 Spidi corners. Spidi exports its products in 44 foreign markets

2001: Keramide jeans are introduced in order to extend protection to a broader audience


2002: Major championship wins make this a singature year in company history: Marco Melandri wins the 250 GP World Championship, Colin Edwards wins the WSBK Championship, Fabien Foret wins the WSS Championship


2003: Spidi corners exceed 150 in Italy alone and 50 worldwide


2004: Sete Gibernau becomes Moto GP vice-World Champion, tests the AIS intercooler system for on ride refrigeration


2005: Biomechanic CE protectors are introduced. They represent the next level in built-in, anatomic protection


2005: Sebastien Charpentier wins the World Supersport title, dominating the season with his Honda Ten Kate


2006: Spidi builds the new corporate showroom - designed by Traverso-Vighy architects - where design and functionality combine to frame the following collections.


2006: First Hydroback system is introduced on stock tracksuits


2008: Spidi supplies full furniture and assistance to all its shop corners, increasing the brand awareness in several key locations worldwide


2008: With Safety lamp, the Spidi High Visibility Safety Project is introduced in the collection


2009: Cal Crutchlow is crowned WSS Champion, while Leon Camier dominates the British Superbike


2010: The airbag Neck DPS system is introduced on T-2 tracksuit, Venture touring jacket and Neck DPS vest
